From Burnout to Balance: A new way of building business that honors motherhood

If we're being honest, none of us left the 9-5 grind to go home and burnout at home.

Not to burnout in motherhood or business building.

Yet, it happens, right?

None of us want to feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and guilty for that and more.

We want more than diapers and deadlines, constant snack preparation and distractions.

Most of us, if we're honest started for:

Freedom.

Flexibility.

Fulfillment.

And we wanted it without sacrificing our presence and role as a mom.

A burnt out mom and a calm mom with the words burnout to balance.

Somewhere along the way - usually at the outset - it all started to feel to much.

Sound Familiar?

You are juggling clients, projects, school drop off, snack requests, and a never ending to-do list.

You feel like you're always "on" but never fully present.

You feel like you've lost touch with your creativity, motivation, and values. Maybe even yourself.

You're burned out. Wondering if the dream, a business, this life is even sustainable.

If this all resonates with you, you're not alone.

You're not broken.

Many other moms have been there. I have been there.

The good news is you're just burned out, and it's time for a reset.

Introducing Cultivating Cadence - a BURNOUT to BALANCE program

When I started working for myself, I was doing private practice work. I didn't have kids yet, and even after our daughter came along, going back in-person was daunting.

So, I shifted gears. I moved into psychoeducation for teens, and built a business from home around this and writing.

I have been in this space of learning to build from home with my kids for several years now, and along with my education, I know a thing or two. I've experienced a thing or two.

I hit the lows of burnout a few times. I built while experiencing PPD/PPA and developing several chronic illnesses. I've worked through a pandemic with babies and toddlers. I've worked through a cross-country move. I've done it all.

(Even now, I'm writing this post while my kids run around my living room and music plays from the T.V. and the washing machine is running.)

So, I packaged it all up into my program Cultivating Cadence, is a guided coaching program for millennial and gen-z moms who know there's a better way when deciding to be home with kids while making a living. Those who know they can move from burnout to balance, and are ready to make the rhythms that work for them and their families.

This program isn't about hustle, it's about healing.

It's about creating rhythms that center your values, needs, and creative energy.

What you'll learn:

  • Values clarification & prioritization: decisions and action based in what matters most
  • Living with intention: move from autopilot to aligned action
  • Simplifying life: clear out clutter - physically, emotionally, and mentally
  • Gratitude that changes things: reconnecting with joy, even in the chaos

At the outset, we do a burnout assessment and values assessment. These give us a starting point for change. I also walk my clients through challenging expectations, hopes, and goals. Differentiating and setting these makes a huge difference.

I also help my clients explore and define the rhythms that will ultimately lead them to work-life balance. After all, isn't that what we all want? (I'll give you a hint: it's really just about rhythms and integration, balance isn't where we land.)

  • You prefer strict, rigid routines over flexible rhythms
