Burnout to Contentment: How moms get out of the burnout cycle and into a place of fulfillment and contentment

Maven Mondays are back.

And I'm so excited about it.

This time around, I have so many wonderful women on deck to chat with about all things - motherhood, creative business, burnout recovery, calming chaotic minds, financial security, and getting out of hustle culture.

If you've been around for a while, you know I'm here to help moms out of this burnout, hustle, and mental chaos for a life of balance, fulfillment, and calm. Each of these Maven Monday chats bring us right back to that.

I've recently really embraced my identity as a neurodivergent mom, and am creating space for those neurodivergent moms who are building businesses with kids at home. For many of these moms, there is a sense of burnout and mental chaos because we are trying to do things the world's way, a way that wasn't set up for us.

So I'm bringing in other women who can talk about different kinds of decisions and systems and mindsets that helped them design lives they love on their terms, and how that eased the burnout. Bringing them to the other side, to the space of fulfillment.

Every one of the women I have lined up and have already connected with has a different journey, different story, and different way of doing things. Yet each of these stories has nuggets of gold, helpful for the neurodivergent mom looking to balance work and business, so she can have the life, family, and business she loves. On her terms, with her needs and lifestyle in mind.

Maven Monday New Episodes

The first two new Maven Monday episodes are up on YouTube, and this time around, it's becoming an audio podcast, too (though I'm not great with that side of things...YET).

Both of their stories remind me that it's never too late to start, and sometimes minor pivots make just as much impact as drastic shifts.

First, I met with Candace Dudley, a former teacher turned podcast mentor. We had a great discussion about making pivots in life to keep ahead of burnout, especially after burnout recovery. We discussed knowing intuitively which decisions align with our values, and going for those. She shared her journey from teaching to podcasting, and how it's been such a blessing for her and her family.

In this week's Maven Monday, I chatted with Krysteena from Align Therapy Shop & Tree City Wellness (Idaho). Our conversation focused on how easy it is to get burnt out in the early therapist days (something I know so, so well), and how small changes actually remind us why we loved it. Krysteena is a private practice therapist who coaches others to start and run successful private practices. Our conversation focused a lot on values alignment, and how we set up an integrated life that foster both business and motherhood.

Having these conversations with these incredible women helped so much put my own burnout journey into perspective, and it was such a joy to talk to others about how their journeys impacted the choices they made and the lives they have now with their families.

Realities of Business Building and Burnout in the Online Space

The reality is there is so much advice and noise online about how to build successful side hustles and business, but so much of it is not for the everyday mom. Or the neurodivergent mom. Or the mom who wants to find herself again in all of it.

That is what I love about these conversations. These chats really connect me with women, mostly moms, who are doing things on their terms, supporting others, and creating communities. The conversations we have can help others find their own way, doing it on their own terms.

Another benefit of these connections and conversations is that I am creating a unique resource within my group membership program that connects the moms I work with to others who can help them build skills that I just don't have the same ability for.

For example: Have a mom in my program trying to build her private practice, but is feeling the burnout as a mom of a young child? Great, I can work with the burnout, the hustle, the life management and business boundaries aspect, but I can share Krysteena's name and resources for the private practice business skills. (Yes, I too run a private practice, but my set up is super unique and doesn't give me the same teaching ability as Krysteena). Or, if there are people in my program who want to learn all about podcasting and how to guest on other podcasts, I can connect them with Candace. Because, I'm just learning the podcast thing myself.

If you are a mom, especially a neurodivergent mom or a mom building/running a business, you're not going to want to miss these Maven Monday YouTube episodes/podcast episodes.

Come hang out with us. And, let me know what topics you'd like to hear me talk about - on my own or with others.

PS - I was also a guest on the Sensible Sessions Podcast with Amber Wardell recently. You can catch that conversation on Amber's YouTube channel.
